Brad at the Macau Open 23/05/2006

Using his 7, iron Brad anticipated the club would take a fillet of steak out of the ground. But instead the club bounced off the ground as it was so hard and wrapped itself round a tree and in the process snapped in two pieces.

Not the best situation, Brad only wanted to use his 7 iron around 8 further times Thursday and I am not sure how many times Friday. I lost count.

No excuses though, Brad shot an 80 which is also a first as a pro and was lying in 137th position at the end of the day. One thing I would say as I was caddying for Brad, at no time would you know Brad was having a tough day.

Friday, Brad set out to make the cut which if it was as we anticipated around +4 +5 this was definitely a possibility. But we ended the day with a 73 and in typical Bradley fashion we were back to the range to practice. Brad’s quote for the week “I think I have got it”

One interesting thing about Macau was that the driving range was the ocean with two lines of flags used for measurements. The balls used were specially designed by Srixon to float but also be able to be used by the Pros.

Brad sits at 75th on the order of Merit with $14,010 US in prize money.
