Brad play's in the Mercuries Taiwan Masters. 24/09/2007
25 holes raining cats and dogs, 25 holes in 50 degrees heat and 22 holes in 200km/h winds. That is a golf test!!!!!
Monday was spent locked in the Hotel as a Typhoon came through Taiwan so no opportunity to get onto the course.
Brad had an afternoon tee time for Thursday shooting 1 over par 73, just 3 shots off the leading professional.
Friday’s round was interrupted twice with huge downpours causing flooding on the course. Another 1 over 73 moved Brad from 30th to 7th = spot to go into the weekend.
The cut for the Taiwan Masters was 50 and ties.
Saturday, was a replica of the first two days having another 1 over 73 to finish the round in 13th = place.
Sunday, Brad sent me the above text telling me he had had 79 hits, finishing in a tie for 21st place.
The conditions for this week’s event put up a great test of golf would have even tested an experienced Wellingtonion.
Brad flies home to NZ tomorrow and will head to New Plymouth on Wednesday to play in the Pro Am on Wednesday prior to playing in this weeks Taranaki Open.
