Brad has his best finish in the US 24/06/2008
Brad had his best finish in the US since gaining his card to play on the Nationwide Tour for 08 at the Knoxville Open on the Weekend.
After missing the cut in the last two events and Brad was determined to have a great result.
Brad began the Tournament with a 2 under 70 Thursday.
Friday’s round was a roller coaster with two birdies followed by a
double bogey, an eagle on the par 5 10th hole played followed by
another double bogey and then two birdies to finish with a 2 under par
70 and a opportunity to play the weekend which is what Brad enjoys.
A text after coming of the course on Friday simply said “I am just happy to have made the cut”
Saturday Brad shot a 1 under 71, we had caught up by phone earlier in
the week and had made a deal which required Brad to finish in the top
25 so a low round Sunday was needed.
Brad had 5 birdies and 13 pars Sunday to finish at 10 under for the
tournament moved up from 47th place to finish 24th = Brad’s best finish
this year.
I spoke with Brad earlier this afternoon and he was in transit heading
to Canada to play in the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic in Ontario and had
just been his connecting plane had been cancelled so obviously was
ecstatic about that.
